Portfolio Financial Servicing Company Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit
Full Release: PORTLAND, OR (January 30, 2008) – Portfolio Financial
Servicing Company (PFSC), a third party private label servicer of leases,
loans, and structured settlement contracts has announced the successful
completion of its SAS (Statement on Auditing Standards) 70 Type II audit.
The independent SAS 70 audit was conducted by Plante & Moran, PLLC a public
accounting and consulting firm who evaluated and tested the company's internal
operational controls and processes.
SAS 70 Type II is an auditing standard utilized by service organizations to
demonstrate their internal controls and security practices to their clients. By
completing the SAS 70 audit, PFSC can offer third-party verification of its
significant control practices and operational procedures.
Conducting a comprehensive SAS 70 audit requires substantial financial and time
investments, but PFSC considered the review a mandatory aspect of its
