Data Center
PFSC leases dedicated office space in a commercial office building in
downtown Portland, Oregon. PFSC is the largest tenant in the building.
PFSC's office includes a secure, environment-controlled data center that houses
computer servers, mass storage devices and telecommunications equipment. PFSC
enforces strict security access to its facilities and systems. PFSC backs up
all data, source and executable files to magnetic tape daily and stores copies
of these tapes off-site at a highly regarded data storage facility. All
critical IT Staff are equipped with cell phones to facilitate communications in
the event of a business interruption.
PFSC has implemented state-of-the-art disaster recovery
procedures that include:
• battery back up - for short duration electrical outages
• diesel generator - for long duration electrical outages
• fireproof storage
• daily off-site back up of all data
